6:30 pm - Doctors were able to get a feeding tube in today. Ann and Bill have a meeting with the team of doctors tomorrow at 2:30 to review the MRI results. Matt's paralytic meds have been off for two days and now they are weening him off the sedation meds, currently at 60 percent of full strength. Because of that, twitching of his eye lids, legs and two fingers has happened. They have started to perform reflex tests with minimal reaction. They will continue to perform these tests over the next several days until sedation meds fully wear off. Please pray for good MRI results in the mtg tomorrow at 2:30. Thank you so much for all of the support!!!!!!
12:20 pm - MRI results may be known today or tomorrow. Doctors waiting for the entire team to review results and agree upon diagnosis. When that is done they will have a team mtg with Ann and Bill. Matt has been off his paralytic meds for about two days now and his sedation meds were reduced by 20 percent starting at 4am. They will be reduced by 20 percent more every 8 hours until done. It will take some time for his body to adjust to no meds. Then doctors will perform motor function and command tests. Starting late last night, Matt started twitching his eyelids and this morning his legs and he was attempting to cough. We are hopeful we will see more activity as meds are further reduced. Thank you and please continue praying.
9:30 am - Nothing new to report as of now. Ann and Bill will be having a meeting sometime today with Matt's team of Doctors. I will post an update when I know more. It has been 2 weeks today since the accident, and everyone has been right by our sides through it all. I can't say enough about how much that means to all of us. Please keep praying for Matt's miracle.
